Saint Xavier H.S.: National Art Honors Society HomeThis is a featured page

Art is our one true global language. It knows no nation, it favors no race, and it acknowledges no class. It speaks to our need to reveal, heal, and transform. It transcends our ordinary lives and lets us imagine what is possible. -Richard Kamler

This is the Saint Xavier High School National Art Honors Society, Chapter 2749 site. We are located in Louisville, Kentucky. The purpose of this society, is to give artful service back to the community that has helped improve their skills and to serve the community and world at large. We hope to help our young artist attain their highest potential in art.
With this site we look to inform current and future art students to the department, to courses we offer, opportunities in art and share our celebration in awards for our young artist. Enjoy.

What we do!

Every year the society hosts our year end art show. Over 400 pieces were exhibited this year while we were entertained by the various musical ensembles from the Music department!

We also participated in The Memory Project. This program matches young artists with orphans in various countries. The young artists paint portraits of the young children from Uganda, sent them off and within several we received pictures of the children getting their images. It has been truly rewarding for both parties involved. Here is a link to The Memory page.

Periodically, our society will post meeting minutes and pages on projects individuals/groups complete. We will also house pages of society members artwork. You too can watch them grow in the arts.

Thanks for coming and feel free to check our school's website. Saint X Website
